This remarkable Mesopotamian collection is housed at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Queen Puabi's jewelry dates from the 3rd millennium B.C. (2600-2500 B.C.) and was discovered in the 1920s on a joint archaeological expedition of the University of Pennsylvania Museum and the British Museum. Enameled 24 karat antique gold over pewter.
